SHIBUYUNJI DISTRICT PROFILE
Shibuyunji Town Council was established as a District in October, 2012 and the District was realigned to Central Province from Lusaka Province in 2018. Shibuyunji is located about 63 kilometers West of Lusaka City and can be accessed from Mumbwa Road and Makeni Road from Lusaka District.
The District has one constituency, the Mwembezhi Constituency, and has Ten (10) Wards namely; Chabota, Milandu, Nakaiba, Nampundwe, Sala, Makombwe, Kapyanga East, Kapyanga West, Kalundu and Mukulaikwa. According to the 2010 Census of Population and Housing Summary Report (2012) Shibuyunji District has a total population of 48, 965 people.Shibuyunji presents great investment potential in Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Mining, Food processing Industry, Tourism, Hospitality and Infrastructure Development.
The Vision of Shibuyunji Town Council is to create “A Prosperous, Economically and Climate Resilient District by 2030.”
The Mission Statement is “To facilitate and support social economic transformation and development through participatory and sustainable development.”
