CDF SORTS OUTS ACCOMMODATION CRISIS

Accommodation crisis for teachers has been addressed in Mulimba ward following the construction of two staff houses. Mulimba Primary School Head Teacher has confirmed the development, stating that the school was faced with an accommodation crisis for teachers resulting in teachers seeking for transfers.

He therefore stated that the coming of the Constituency Development Fund, CDF has facilitated for the construction of staff houses which will cushion the accommodation crisis. The head teacher noted that learners were also going to neighboring schools because of inadequate teachers who were overwhelmed due to long working hours.

He said decent accommodation has also resulted in increased pupil enrolment from 280 to 400, as a result of increased quality of teaching and learning. The head teacher underscored the importance of the Private Public Partnership (PPP) which he said should help with other infrastructure development, and called on the private sector to partner with government in developing communities.
