The construction of a palace for Senior Chief Shakumbila of the Sala-lla people in Shibunyunji district has commenced and is ongoing.

This is in line with the government’s commitment to uplift the living standards of Chiefs across the country.

The palace whose construction began in February 2024 and is expected to be completed in August 2024, is being constructed under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

The palace will consist of a conference hall and two houses for the chief returners.
